Why do we include OpenAI's Privacy Policy?

Vision Intelligence Pilot (VIP) uses OpenAI's technology through your personal API key. By interacting directly with OpenAI's API, your data benefits from enterprise-level security and privacy protections provided by OpenAI. To ensure transparency, we've included OpenAI’s privacy commitments alongside our own, so you can clearly understand how your data is securely managed.

Vision Intelligence Pilot (VIP) does not collect any data on any of our servers for it to work properly it does store information locally and only on your device:

1. OpenAI API Key: Your API key is stored securely in your browser's local storage and is only transmitted directly to OpenAI for processing queries.
   
   

2. Screen Captures: When you explicitly use the "Share Vision" feature, the extension captures your screen content. This data is only transmitted to OpenAI for processing and is not stored on our servers.
   
   

3. Conversation History: Questions and responses may be temporarily stored in your browser for conversation context. This data remains on your device and can be cleared at any time.

All data stored by the extension remains under your control and on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to our servers. The extension only sends data to OpenAI's API for processing queries using your own API key.
